Manchester City have reportedly knocked back a big-money offer for Liam Delap - son of ex-Carlisle United star Rory.
Southampton are said to have offered £16m for the teenage striker.
But the Mail and The Athletic both report that City have turned down the approach.
And a loan move is more likely for the 19-year-old this season to gain first-team experience.

Burnley, managed by ex-City star Vincent Kompany, are among the clubs reportedly keen on a temporary move for the young hotshot.
Brighton & Hove Albion are also said to be admirers.
Delap junior joined City from Derby in 2019. He has six first-team appearances and one senior goal to his name for Pep Guardiola's side.
