Carlisle United emerged unscathed from their first away game of the season, picking up a 1-1 draw at Colchester United.
Here's what some of the Blue Army made of it when they gave us their views on Twitter.
Excellent first half, far the better side, gave them a goal but more than deserved to be level. Bit of a nothing second half, lots of stoppages - if it was as hot on the pitch than in the stand then no surprise! But never felt in danger of losing, and a decent away point really. (@jpastalker)
Weather won...probably a fair scoreline, they looked pretty average. It’s an away point which’s never bad. (@keithelliott94)
A good point but should have been three with first half performance. Second half was very mediocre so a point all round was about right. (@ericgreen866)
Clearly, if we take our chances when we are dominant, we will win games. We should have done so today. However, another good performance and an improvement on last year. Once we start scoring we could be a very difficult team to beat. (@BruceVander)
A typical game of two halves. Great first half but not so much second. Obviously very warm out there and a great away point. Still early in the season, lets go for Shrewsbury midweek and Swindon on Saturday. (@Playbytherulz)
VERDICT: Simmo's work-in-progress Carlisle United in solid shape after point at Colchester United
Silly mistake for the goal and Holy’s blast into the back of Feeney aside, a good performance. Everyone seemed confident and comfortable on the ball - no one hiding. Feeney and Gibson composed and a lot to come from Edmondson. Lots to feel good about for the rest of the season. (@KennyMac1962)
Would have been three points if chances taken first half, good point away from home a lot better than none - happy days. (@stansanczuk)
We were great for 30 minutes but their goal set us back. We’re still finding our feet as a team but we looked good in this spell. Couldn’t find our fluidity in second half but it will come. Good point but a little frustrating with the chances we created. (@fish_blues)
I will take a point, first half good, second half disappointing, but Colchester changed tack and put on their subs. Shame we missed some good chances, but there is much more to come from this team I think. (@peterjo91525330)
A great time to equalise by our top scorer....the game seemed to deteriorate in the second half on a warm/hot day A handy point at one of our longest trips. Still bedding in! (@LindaNi121202)
Looking at the highlights we missed some real sitters, hopefully that will change and expect Edmonson to do better. (@thegaffa)
