Carlisle United fans gave us their views on Twitter after the Blues' 3-2 Carabao Cup first round defeat at Shrewsbury Town.
Here is a selection.
We deserved the draw. Two scrappy goals for them. Needed a bit more composure at the back and better containment of their wing men. We looked very good going forward. Lots of strong performances and good interplay. Owen Moxon raised our game a level. Lots of positives for the season. (@NotInSeddon)
Morgan’s potential need for surgery is a much bigger issue for us than losing tonight IMHO. However, from the radio commentary, it sounds like they were very close. Given they’re League One then it bodes well surely? (@Rob_burn5)
My thoughts are refs continue to ruin games, and Dennis the menace goal machine gets another! Onto Saturday (@LindoNi121202)
We were playing against 12 men all night, the ref was out of his depth, poor performance by him, he spoiled a good game. We need more refs like Bobby Madley, fair and square and can be respected (@carlislekev)
Really good second half, thought we were at least heading for pens, their last two goals looked pretty soft, agree officials didn’t help! Guy and Holy both stood out for me (@mancumbrianmike)
I get the points about the ref, however we have to do better for two of their goals. Ultimately not doing things in our control - ie mistakes - have cost us again. But, a decent showing against a poor League One side. Glass half full right now. (@Blue_Bag)
Not our best starting 11 for League One opposition but battled hard. Fair result would have been a penalty lottery. Harris and Stretton looked good additions. Moxon and Gibson perked us up when they came on and still first choice in midfield. Holy was awesome. Refereeing dire. (@JHallHDI)
Some good moments and could easily have had more goals, some mad reffing decisions, but still must defend the situations better. (@phleaslittle)
With our injury worries probably not a bad thing having less games. Onto Saturday. (@Chris_CA2)
