Former Carlisle United starlet Liam McCarron has made a move late on transfer deadline day.
The Appleby player has joined Port Vale on a season-long loan from Stoke City.
McCarron's move was confirmed in the final hour of the window.
The 21-year-old will seek first-team football in League One.
The move comes after his permanent summer move to Championship club Stoke from Leeds United.

Vale boss Darrell Clarke is delighted to have brought in the former Carlisle academy product.
"Liam is an exciting young player and comes with some healthy experience at both Premier League and Championship clubs," he told the club website.
"I'm really looking forward to working with him this season."
McCarron made 20 first-team appearances for Carlisle in the 2018/19 season after breaking through the youth ranks.
He was then sold to Leeds where he developed in their Under-23 ranks and eventually made one first-team outing.
He was at the Elland Road club for three years but left for Stoke in June.
He has yet to feature for the Championship club's first team.
