It was, it's fair to say, more than a little pleasing on the eye.
And Jamie Devitt's classy pass which helped Carlisle United get back into the game against Rochdale has had fans purring on Twitter.
Midfielder Devitt, a second-half substitute, sent a beautifully-weighted, first-time ball from deep in his own half into Jordan Gibson's path on the right wing as the latter then set up Kristian Dennis to score.
It helped Carlisle pull a goal back to make it 3-2, before completing their fightback in the 3-3 draw at Brunton Park.
It was certainly a mark of Devitt's quality on the ball - and was picked out by many observers as a highlight of the game on Saturday.
Indeed, supporters on social could hardly contain themselves...
This pass from Devitt makes me hungry. It is delicious. 😋 https://t.co/401Qy3Ip3q

...while former midfielder Mark Boyd - a fine ball-player himself in his day - had this to say...
