Carlisle United fans gave us their views on Twitter after the Blues' 2-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon.
Here is a selection.
Solid again which is a good sign, and we limited them to little in front of goal. We can be dangerous when we need to be, but can't help think we need to try and get Patrick involved more in wide areas, we saw what he can do second half. (@RyCUFC)
Forgetting the awful refereeing, which is hard to do, United deserved their battling win. But there is still much to do. Happy that Patrick's showed us something like his best, but United need to move the ball quicker in the opposition's half as well keeping it on the floor. (@BruceVander)
It was a good performance overall. Patrick best performance of season. Moxon great again. Referee performance bad. Maybe a 4-3-3 will help with more goals because we aren't scoring enough. We are gonna stuff a team soon. (@In5ertHandle)
Poor first half, great start to the second and had the blatant penalty been given it would have killed them. Showed a lot of grit to battle back from the disappointment of the equaliser and a fully deserved and crucial three points. Patrick looking sharper (@Halpinforpope)
A tough watch at times. We’ll need to be better than that to be involved at the top of the table, but an important win and a step in the right direction. (@lewisrids3)
Made hard work of it but three points. Gibson and Patrick good. Pleased for Guy too. Awful ref. Pell should’ve been sent off and a blatant pen. EFL really need to look into the standard of officials as it’s becoming a joke. (@parkinsonross)
Not a lot happened in the first half. Guy's goal was brilliant. Poor goal to concede but the fighting spirt came through in the end. Referee was poor today. But overall a great fight to the end by the team. (@Philbell719Phil)
Deserved three points, very few chances for them. Looked like a handball/pen from the Paddock. Stood up to a lot of niggly nonsense. Great decision from Simmo to put Mellish on their 19, who ran the game at times. (@j_michaelb)
Hard graft. Did well to stick in after some awful calls but definitely need to improve a lot to be anywhere near play offs. (@riegaan)
We’re slowly getting better and better, there’s still issues but Gibson and Patrick both very good. Nice for Guy to score and Dennis doing Dennis things, slowly it’s all coming together - just give us time (@Matthewgaskell9)
Guy my man of the match and a great strike - more to follow I hope. Patrick, much improved, looked better on the left of a front three than in a front two. Ref made some dreadful calls but let the game flow until the handbags came out in the second half. Good win. (@JHallHDI)
Good performance, Patrick deserves a special mention and looked something like his old self, the goal we conceded for me was a bit of freak, 99 times out of a 100 his flick header doesn’t land perfectly for the striker. Huntington will score ten-plus this season from corners. (@stuartlightfoo1)
Poor second half goal to give away, but when we got going, our midfield and Fin Back were really good. (@Playbytherulz)
We looked better when we went to 4-3-3 with Patrick on the left and Gibson on the right and I think if you asked them they would say that's their best positions. As soon as Edmondson is fit the better this team will be (@GeoffRo39583097)
Poor referee. We should have had two penalties second half but we ground out the win. In Simmo we trust. (@LEEROTHERHAM)
Firstly, the ref was absolutely appalling. But the positives are, great goal from Guy, Patrick getting back to his best, deserved MOTM for Moxon, Gibson and Mellish doing their graft and Dennis at the right place at the right time. Good times are coming (@tracy_sturgess)
Loved the spirit from the players and fans. Carry on like that we’ll be on the up!! (@mavisonions)
A deserved three points given the Dark Arts count from them. Obviously they're aware of last season's shambolic record extending into this. A poor ref, what's new! Our lads fought the lot of them and got the rewards. Solid throughout apart from when they scored, no chance Holy! (@LindaNi121202)
Battled for that win, even with the ref against us. Exactly what should happen to dross like Wimbledon (@dougrmurphy)
Deserved three points. Moxon was excellent and Patrick played great in second half. Well done lads. (@RonnieSmith1964)
A much needed home win to lift the supporters. I'm pleased Callum Guy scored, he was my man of the match. Their goal was a replica of ours, so we need to learn how to deal runners down the middle. No substitutions today, so it's fair to say that everyone put in a good shift. (@AyeCumbrian)
This team are fighters and grafters. Difficult to beat and grind out results. Simmo always said it was a three-year plan and we are starting with the basics (@Bjafn_cufc)
Just want a home game where we’re out of sight by HT. Overdue to “tonk” someone but no one is complaining with graft and ultimately three points today. Now to convince the missus to let me go to Newport (@Invisiblebear84)
Lot of people commenting on the ref, I thought he was decent in letting a lot go for both teams first half, lost it a bit second half. We stuck to the task well, promotion in two seasons nailed on under Simmo. (@BrendanRogers69)
A successful week! Two big away games now, just need to keep moving forward. Noisy neighbours will be below us soon enough (@2705TF)
