It was a sight to behold at Hartlepool – Carlisle United’s giant goalkeeper Tomas Holy sprinting the length of the pitch to join in the celebrations.
The big Czech galloped from his box to the away end after Omari Patrick had scored United’s clinching third goal in the 3-1 win.
Holy joined his outfield team-mates as they toasted the moment in front of the jubilant away fans.
And afterwards manager Paul Simpson said of his keeper: “I’ve been questioning them about their running stats so I think he’s hoping his GPS is gonna pick it up.
“He has zero high speed in every game, so he might get a notch on that…
“But that shows what it meant to everybody.”
Holy's charge to join in the fun can be seen on United's video of Patrick's goal here - the keeper starts the move, then a few seconds later is up at the away end...
