Carlisle United fans were in buoyant mood when they gave us their views on Twitter after the superb 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers.
Here is a selection of their comments.
Superb game and performance. Great team effort and 11 MOTM. Magic boots Mellish was great. Bouncing. (@scholes_peter)
Great performance. We look solid and considering we have a number of players out we are looking a team. The strength will come but, we are doing well now. In Simmo we trust. (@LEEROTHERHAM)
Eight months on from losing 3-0 to Swindon, if someone had told me that Saturday evening by October we'd not only have stayed up but be in the play-offs with Simmo in charge I'd have thought they were ripe for being sectioned. Absolutely brilliant at the moment. (@krisfoster)
Solid at the back and starting to look more inventive going forward. Can’t wait for us to have a full squad to choose from, hopefully exciting times ahead but will be a tough test next week. (@Halpinforpope)
Excellent all over the pitch. Could’ve been more. Stretton and Mellish the stand outs and Edmondson makes a difference with aerial balls. Special praise for Ellis who looks like a player who’s played 50+ games at this level not five or six. (@parkinsonross)
Apparently our team is suffering an injury crisis, you could have fooled me! Great all over the pitch today. Jack Ellis, great game pal! (@Playbytherulz)
Brilliant performances all over the park, still think we can play even better - what a team (@NavyDave94)
Can we talk about Jack Ellis please!?! What a performance from him. Match winner however was Stretton. Ran the socks off the Donny defenders and much deserved his goal. (@SamTJohnston24)
Great win. Every single player contributed - Holy’s save at 0-0 was immense. Stretton looking more confident for the goals, shame about the pen. Mellish driving forward produced a real threat and shredded their shape. All this with a long injury list as well (@tim_martland)
Unbelievable, Simmo walks on water along with Paul H...great all round team effort today though, delighted for us all it’s making up very quickly for less good times (@keithelliott94)
8/10 performances all round, looking stronger every week. Brunton Park becoming a fortress again (@Matthew_2693)
Most relaxed I've been at a match in ages. (@mave63)
That was some performance today, all over the pitch. Defence solid, Mellish a machine, Ellis, Moxon and Huntington composed and Stretton on fire! Oh and Callum’s goal… (@andysweetman47)
A lot of fans hadn’t got a good word for Mellish last season. He gives 110 per cent every time he pulls on a CUFC shirt, today he was outstanding (@SpursTt)
Great performance, dominant from start to finish and played some beautiful football (@joeleigh95)
Got stronger as the game went on, all eleven played a part ,next week feels like a real chance to put a marker down. (@jonnyraffles78)
Great team performance. Guy and Moxon controlled midfield, what a great goal by Guy. Edmondson and Stretton impressive. Mellish outstanding again. (@Philbell719Phil)
Absolutely outstanding performance by every player in a United shirt. What a brilliant strike by Guy. Adam Clayton still a good player but think they rely on him far too much. Unbelievable where we are with all the injuries we've had. Think that was possibly best we've played all season (@ericgreen866)
Everyone who steps on the pitch look so confident in their own ability and that of their teammates. Great to see so many shots and goals coming from all areas of the pitch (@DavidDe21150149)
Everyone put a proper shift in today, worked their socks off to give an all round fantastic performance. If 11 MOTM was given they would all be worthy recipients. The good times are coming (@tracy_sturgess)
Fantastic performance all round, you wouldn’t think we had so many first team players injured. (@beetler43)
What a result. What a team. What a gaffer! Up the blues (@cufc_andy17)
