Former Manchester United star Nicky Butt has been appointed as chief executive of Carlisle United's League Two rivals Salford City.
Butt replaces former team-mate Gary Neville, who Salford say will no longer be involved in the day-to-day running of the club.
Salford - who are level on points with Carlisle and behind the seventh-placed Blues on goal difference - made the announcement on Monday night.
"Nicky will resume position of chief executive on November 1," they said.
"Gary will remain on the board as co-owner however he will no longer be involved in the day-to-day runnings of the club.
"The club would like to thank Gary for all his hard work over the last eight years at Salford City Football Club."
Neville, part of the 'Class of 92' ownership group of ex-Man Utd players, said former midfielder Butt was the "ideal candidate" for the position.
“I have enjoyed my eight years and can’t believe how much we have achieved in that time, and how proud I am of the hard work everyone at the club has put in to make a dream we had whilst on a train, turn into a reality," he said in a statement.
“I will now be able to sit back and enjoy the game on match days safe in the knowledge that it is in good hands."
Carlisle go to Salford in League Two on Saturday, November 19.
