Promising Carlisle-born midfielder Joe White has been shortlisted for a top Premier League award.
The Newcastle United player is in the running to be named Premier League 2 player of the month for October.
It is recognition for the 20-year-old's performances for the Magpies' Under-23 side.
White scored three goals and claimed an assist for Newcastle's young second string.
Highlights included a superb free-kick against Southampton, while he also netted against Aston Villa and Sunderland.

The England youth international - grandson of the late former Carlisle United and Workington Reds man Peter Hampton - is rated highly at St James' Park.
White has been on Newcastle's books for six years, having previously been with Carlisle's youth set-up.
He had a loan spell with Hartlepool United last season and, in March, was handed a new three-year deal.
The PL2 player of the month winner will be announced next week. White's rivals are Chelsea's Omari Hutchinson, Blackburn Rovers' Harry Leonard, Everton's Charlie Whittaker, Fulham's Oliver O'Neill, Manchester United's Shola Shoretire and Nottingham Forest's Ateef Konaté.
The nominees were selected by the Premier League's Football Development Panel, after Premier League 2 coaches nominated the best performance by an opponent after league games in October.
