Carlisle United's fans were again in positive spirits after the 2-1 victory over Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup first round.
Here is a selection of their comments as they gave us their views on Twitter.
Was I worried before the last two games? (yes I was)...the massive injury list again took its toll, but we are Carlisle United. Effort and determination in abundance, these players are proud to play for our fantastic club and it shows. Take a bow lads, the fans love it (@matty017)
Forget the Denton Holme Pirlo, how about the Kendal Cafu? Brilliant effort from all the lads today, but Jack Ellis played like a seasoned pro with 100 apps under his belt. The Road to Wembley continues! (@leerooney)
I don't know how we're doing it but I hope it doesn't stop (@krisfoster)
I expected Tranmere to get at us early on, but we closed them down completely. They regrouped in the second half, but the win was never in doubt. Tobi Sho-Silva had an excellent 60 minutes and Jayden Harris silenced his critics today, with a very well deserved first goal for the club. (@AyeCumbrian)
Can tell the squad is thin, the subs allowed them back into the game but a win is a win and we’re in the hat for round two (@BazBtee)
No matter how many players we've lost to injury the wizard of Brunton Park manages to get a winning team out. These boys must be happy in their work, they're certainly playing for the shirt and the boss man. Great result today and a £41k bonfire night bonus. (@LindaNi121202)
Down to the bare bones again. Still we made Tranmere look poor. Sho-Silva had a great first half and got tired. So changed with what we had. Got through the second half pretty good too. In Simmo We Trust. (@LEEROTHERHAM)
Fantastic win, Tranmere weren't at the races apart from a few short spells of pressure. Was a bit worrying when we seemed to ease off the gas after the second goal and allowed them back into it, but all in all a well deserved win. (@3ddiew)
Great result, we’ve run out of strikers but Ryan back Tuesday...oh and we won the golden gamble (@keithelliott94)
I think that’s the first time we’ve beaten the same team in consecutive matches since Workington at Christmas in the 64/5 Third Division title season. There’s been a few opportunities in between which didn’t involve a replay. Hartlepool last season, etc (@ostrichtowers)
Loving the run we are on. Promotion and an FA Cup final in the same season? #bejustandfearnot (@Rob12028565)
Considering the injuries, really composed performance and made Tranmere look bang average. Loved the cheeky fist-bump between Simeu and Tobi Sho midway through the first half (@mtuj1974)
Considering the injuries it’s a brilliant effort, I think it shows how together the dressing room is, and it’s all down to one man, this club was dead before Paul Simpson’s return (@marcusn04537547)
