CARLISLE United have teamed up with local charity Carlisle Key to support their clothing donation appeal
The charity that works with young people who are aged between 16 and 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness has been partnered with the Blues since 2016.
Now, ahead of Carlise's home encounter against Sutton United at the weekend, the club has confirmed that a clothing collection will be held prior to kick-off.
Diana Vlad, business development, fundraising and finance manager at Carlisle Key will lead volunteers out the Study Centre between 11.30am and 12.45pm on Saturday.
Ahead of the event she said: "Carlisle Key stands by each person in Carlisle having the right to an adequate standard of living.
"Access to clean quality clothing before winter is very important to us. Our volunteers have given their time to ensure clothing is collected and passed on to people seeking asylum."
United chief executive Nigel Clibbens also said: "The club works throughout the year to help make a difference in the community.
"As we approach Christmas, with the cost-of-living crisis, this is even more important."
"We hope our fans will give generously and help to help others who are less fortunate." He continued.
