Game too far for many today, we can carry one bad performance but not the six or seven today. Senior was a gamble that sadly didn't pay off, but how else will he get match fit. Still fourth in the league, would have taken six points from nine. Must beat Newport though (@dougrmurphy)
A show of how far we have progressed being fourth in league, however we looked out of gas today, players couldn’t do basics, and all over the park we were second best, two week to recharge now, and hopefully get back on track (@matty017)
Poor shape and individual performances all over the pitch. Cruel on Senior in his first start in 12 months. Crying out for Devitt earlier on in the game. How are we still 4th? (@SamTJohnston24)
Worst performance this season. There were so many mistakes and poor passing. One to forget. And bloody freezing. (@scholes_peter)
Difficult to find consistency with so many injuries. Add to that a few players who may be playing with a knock or a dip in form and that difficulty increases. The fortnight break may serve as useful to bring in new faces and to offer others a timely break. (@BruceVander)
Didn’t deserve three points in reality. Injuries catching up with us perhaps. (@mspoonz)
Few injuries too many now. Add into that a poor start and the team not looking at it, we didn’t deserve anything. Relying on a couple of players who aren’t up to the standard at the minute but expected when you have double figures out injured. That said could’ve nicked a point (@parkinsonross)
A game too far with a very stretched squad. Learn from it and move onwards and of course upwards. (@NotInSeddon)
Bit sloppy from minute one. Came on strong after formation change. Keeper should have stopped first goal. Fourth on Jan 1st - would have taken that this time last year. Great strides forward. Keep the faith!! (@JasonGarrick4)
Was the office do last night?! Poor today. Second best all over the park. Flat, off the pace and a bit lifeless. Echoes of pre-Simmo, Millen-era performances. Shows how far Carlisle have come to be so disappointed. Shame such a performance came in front of the amazing away support. (@BackoSkiddaw)
Still confident, weren’t great today but without the first goal error could’ve still taken a point! Rest up, bounce back against Newport then four big games in 11 days! (@mancumbrianmike)
Turkey and Crewe stuffing with all the trimmings on Thursday. Bowl of cold porridge today. (@1StevieKilner)
Game too far for the depleted boys today…poor performance up until the last 15 mins…waited too long to bring Devitt on imo, should have been on instead of Harris who continues to offer nothing. Can’t win them all though, rest up, couple of new players in then crack on again. (@reaypa)
Obvious disappointment but we looked ragged at the back and midfield today. Reliable players looked off the pace on that big pitch. Just a bridge too far today. R&R will be welcome on some tired and battered bodies. We'll be back!! #COYB (@LindaNi121202)
First few minutes set the tone tbh. Injuries are crippling us with a very weak bench barring Devs. Here's to a strong window (@spendercufc)
Terrible start when Donny ripped us to pieces. It was a matter of when not if they scored. If Senior hadn't gaffed they'd have scored anyhow. Their player lucky not to get red for foul on Armer, but they ran game and wasted time mercilessly. They'd done homework and man-marked Gibson and doubled up every time he got ball, and stiffled Moxon and importantly stopped Armer's forward runs. Without Armer's runs, no Stretton and no Gibson and after half-time had zero pace on pitch. Thought we'd go long with Tobi and Harris on but we bizarrely put him wide??? When we did go long Dennis scored and one saved superbly (@McCarlisle1)
We were tired. From the start you could say with the mistiming, mistakes and lose passing. We just weren’t at it, but had you asked me pre-Xmas…six out of nine points with three games in twice as many days isn't a bad return. (@Loko87)
Didn't really turn up today. Improvement when Simmo changed it but hope we don't put in any more performances like this, otherwise the second half of the season will be disappointing. (@peterjo91525330)
Win the next one, and it’s nine points from the last 12. (@midlandscufc)
Looked too knackered, a small squad and injuries don't help. But I'll take 4th in January all day long UTB (@PaulMar21281685)
Highlights with injuries hammering us we need a good transfer window. The owners need to back the manager and club. (@LEEROTHERHAM)
