The highly-rated son of former Carlisle United star Rory Delap has joined Preston North End.
Striker Liam Delap has ended his loan spell with Stoke City in order to join their Championship rivals on loan from Manchester City.
Delap, 19, will spend the second half of the campaign with Ryan Lowe's side.
He scored three goals in 23 appearances for the Potters.
The young forward is highly regarded at City, and Preston boss Lowe told the club website: "He’s got the talent.

"He’s still a youngster and still got to learn a lot, but he’s scored goals already in the Championship this season.
“He’d have liked to have scored more and he’d have liked to have played more minutes, but when those type of players become available I think we’ve got to make sure we act very quickly and that’s certainly what we did."
Delap junior could make his Preston debut against Norwich City tomorrow.
His dad Rory recently left his coaching position at Stoke.
