Former Carlisle United striker Tristan Abrahams made a surprise late move back to League Two on transfer deadline day.

The ex-Blues frontman joined Gillingham on loan from National League side Eastleigh.

Abrahams joined a host of new faces at the Kent club in the January window.

He will be in line to face his former club when Carlisle visit Priestfield on March 25.

Abrahams, who was with the Blues last season, left for Eastleigh last summer on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old has scored four goals in 28 appearances for the non-league club this season.

But he was snapped up by Gills boss Neil Harris until the end of the season as their ninth signing since the takeover by American businessman Brad Galinson.

Abrahams could make his debut at home to Crawley Town on Saturday.

He scored four goals in 27 appearances for the Blues last term.

We officially welcome Tristan to the club. A squad number will be confirmed in due course.
