They have helped create a memorable atmosphere at Carlisle United’s crowd in recent games.

And now fans in the Warwick Road End are trying to raise funds to make the terrace even more colourful this season.

A large group of young supporters have packed out the home end at Brunton Park, with many also involved in marches to the ground from the city centre.

They have contributed to impressive atmospheres at games such as Tuesday’s 5-1 win over Barrow, and previous home victories for Paul Simpson’s side.

A GoFundMe page has now set up, aimed at raising money for displays in the Warwick.

With an initial target of £1,000, it has already raised closed to £900.

The fundraising page has been set up by supporters’ trust vice-chairman Dan MacLennan, in support of the young fans who are seeking to generate a great atmosphere at United’s ground.

The GoFundMe page said: “We all know the success of the initial fundraiser for flags to show support during the Covid pandemic.

“So, we’ve all seen how good the WRE has been in 2023, so let’s get some money raised to let the loyal make it even more colourful and noisy!

“All funds raised will go towards materials for displays in the WRE. We will also organise a bucket collections for those who cannot donate electronically.”

A group of the young Warwick fans have recently met with police and supporter representatives as they continue their mass support for the Blues.
