Former Carlisle United loan man Tom Anderson has signed a new deal with the Blues' League Two rivals Doncaster Rovers.
The defender and captain has extended his stay at the Yorkshire club until the summer of 2025.
The man who played for United in the early stages of Keith Curle's reign says he wants to help Doncaster get back into League One.
They are 13th in the current fourth-tier table.
"I’m very pleased to finally get it sorted,” he said of the new deal. “It’s been on-going for the last couple of months so I’m happy to get it over the line.
“It’s a big relief. I’ve had a difficult year with the injuries and you’re always wondering what is going to happen - if you’re going to stay or go somewhere else.

“Now I can just focus on the future over the next two-and-a-half years and try to take the club where it belongs.”
Donny head coach Danny Schofield added of Anderson: "He’s someone we’ve identified that we want to be at the club for a long time and to grow what we’re trying to do around him.”
Anderson made nine appearances for Csrlisle whilst on loan from Burnley in the 2014/15 campaign.
After a number of other loan moves, he joined Doncaster permanently in 2018.
