A former Carlisle United player is set for a top position with Celtic.
Reports suggest ex-Blues loan man Joe Dudgeon is poised to join the Scottish champions.
Dudgeon has been working for the City Football Group but, Football Insider say, will now take a top recruitment role at Parkhead.
The 32-year-old, who played for the Blues in the 2010/11 season, retired five years ago due to injury.
Since then he has progressed in the scouting world and has been working for the City Football Group in a top scouting position for both New York City FC and Melbourne City.
The move to Glasgow will see him reunited with head of recruitment Mark Lawwell, who he worked with at Manchester City.
Dudgeon was part of Greg Abbott's squad at Carlisle in 2011 after joining on loan from Manchester United.
He made two League One appearances, in a 2-2 draw against Oldham Athletic at Brunton Park, and a 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town.
He was one of a number of left-backs used by the Cumbrians that season, with summer signing Sean McDaid having suffered the injury that would ultimately end his own career.
McDaid is now an agent with Cumbrian goalkeeper Dean Henderson among his clients.
