Carlisle United fans gave us their views on Twitter after the 0-0 draw with promotion rivals Stevenage. Here's a selection of their comments.
Frustrating. They had a clear plan to slow the game, not allow us to build any momentum or flow to the game. They are very solid and we looked a bit short of ideas as to how to break them down. All in all, a point is better than none. (@BenJoseph0157)
Stevenage came and played like a Steve Evans team. Horrible to watch, waste as much time as possible and hope to get something off a knock down. We weren’t good enough with the ball. Ref too weak to give the booking for time wasting, the obvious pen or the red card. (@parkinsonross)
Another questionable refereeing display. That said, Evans did his homework. Stevenage were organised, and we couldn't find a way to break them down. A difficult match, but what a fantastic, supportive crowd. Let's keep it going. The lads deserve it. (@BruceVander)
Game the longer it went on at 0-0, you knew exactly how it would end. We weren't good enough today, and got dragged into a messy game and all the antics that come with it. Stevenage are effective, and you can see why they're up the top. Onto another just as big game Tuesday now! (@RyCUFC)
Anything but a bore draw. Two teams separated by finest margins cancelled out each other. Stevenage were lucky to get Moxon on a day which gives me hope he’ll still be playing for us next season and Edmondson not on the pitch from the start (@JHallHDI)
Very scrappy game. Physical, niggly and plenty of gamesmanship from Stevenage; not enough quality from us to counter it. Timid officiating compounded the frustration, particularly second half. Important not to lose and bounce back on Tuesday. Looking forward to my trip to Bradford (@tim_martland)
They came for a draw and got it. We perhaps didn't do enough to change shape or tactics to break them down. Ref was pretty weak. We have to find a way in games like this and really didn't look like scoring today. (@JRBulman)
Awful game, got dragged into the way they wanted to play, they came for a point and anything else would have been a bonus. They are a good side so it's not a bad one to take (@cufccraig1983)
Frustrating game. So much time wasting by them but refs must put a stop to that early on. Weren't at our best today. Bring on the Bantams. (@scholes_peter)
If a referee doesn’t clamp down on time wasting, what chance have you got of stopping it? Stevenage came with a horrible game plan which pretty much mirrors the two they have in charge. They executed perfectly though - big plus we didn't lose and still all to play for (@matty017)
A good point in the end for me. Wasn’t a great game but it was important not to lose that today. Bring on Bradford away on Tuesday night which is a must win. (@Nick_Brown86)
What a long way to come to watch that! No wonder there were so few. (@In5ertHandle)
The table doesn’t look as good tonight but I always thought before the game that a point would be a satisfactory result for us today. It’s still all to play for. (@NotInSeddon)
No wonder most of the population of Stevenage support Arsenal. I would too if anti-football Evans was managing my club (@dougrmurphy)
The sun was out, the pitch looked fantastic, the game started with a couple of lovely moves by us, and the crowd got excited...on 15 minutes their goalkeeper started his no doubt well-honed, time-wasting routine from the S.Evans play book. A frustrating spectacle followed with that fantastic pitch tripping Stevenage "players" up all over the spot. Only plus point was they didn't manage to engineer a spot kick, with that ref it was a big possibility, they'd tried everything else. Verdict: instantly forgettable. NEXT! (@LindaNi121202)
Played well without creating too many clear-cut chances. Stevenage are a very rigid team that are tough to play through, they will be the happier with a point IMO. I thought our defence was really good, they were up for the battle! The ref was grim, got three or four big calls wrong! (@johnstone_mikey)
Whereas last week's may be memorable come the end of the season, today's game will have been forgotten come 6pm. However the point gained could be just as crucial. (@CowellLes1975)
Before the Swindon game most people would have been happy with four points from the next two. We got them, just not in the way we expected - big bounce back against Bradford and all will look good… (@beerincumbria)
Weak referee. How was their keeper not booked for time wasting?! Bad decision to take Garner off, happy with a point in the end, some bad decision-making at times, eg at start of second half where we gifted them a couple of chances. Tuesday night is a bigger game, Up The Blues! (@PeteMcCormick6)
Typical Stevenage tactics from Evans and his time wasters, they were happy with a point. Too much lumping the ball up the pitch with no one getting onto it from United. Not our day today but a clean sheet and point will do. Bradford on Tuesday, and three points would do nicely. (@peterjo91525330)
A gritty first half. The Blues came out of the starting blocks faster than they have before. As ever, the Steve Evans Academy of Dramatic Fouls surfaced with virtually every player in the second half. Ref lost the plot before the end. (@navy484)
We were better first half, not sure our goal should have been struck off, will have to see replay. Second we got sucked into playing long too much. Again, however I think we shaded it. They came for a point from minute one, wasted time, dark arts. (@LEEROTHERHAM)
We were weak in all areas. Let them dictate and allowed them to get away with the dark arts. Let’s hope that’s the last time that happens this season. (@Metty38)
Football-wise, two even sides. Sadly, one of them was guilty of repeated unsporting behaviour. As per, the ref didn't have the clems to nip it in the bud. We need to rethink our starting forwards. Neither contributed much while our top scorer continues to warm the bench. (@3ddiew)
Frustrating, could’ve easily had a pen if the ref team had a bit more about them. Regardless, proud that wherever we go we go to win, hopefully the league table rewards the braver approach end of season. I wouldn’t travel 300 miles to watch that dross (@mancumbrianmike)
Blues: feisty, committed, grafted away. Chavanege: cheats, timewasters, awful. Officials: woeful, woeful, woeful. Result: I’ll take a point. Wedding Anniversary: still chipper, feeling positive, not a ruined day. (@AyeCumbrian)
They came for a point and got one, Senior, Gibson and Patrick not good enough, time to make a few changes on Tuesday. (@XxxGlenny)
