Paul Simpson says he and Carlisle United will give everything to try and make it a finale to remember this season.
The Blues’ promotion push gets back on the road this weekend when United head to Gillingham.
It is the second of three consecutive away games for Simpson’s side, who are third in the table.
Their goalless draw at Bradford City put United back into the automatic promotion places with nine games to go.
It promises to be a dramatic final six weeks of the campaign – and manager Simpson says his team will fight tooth and nail to deliver something memorable to supporters.
“There’s no easy answer to getting over the line, because every game is a scrap – Bradford fought for their lives against us, Gillingham will do the same, Leyton Orient will the week after,” Simpson said.
“We’ve got some brilliant games to look forward to, some fantastic games.
“Whatever does happen between now and the end, we’re going to go and give it our best shot to try and make it a happy ending.”

United head to Kent with a six-game unbeaten run having taken their clean sheet tally to 16 at Valley Parade on Tuesday.
They will bid to extend that sequence against Neil Harris’s Gills, who sit 19th after pulling away from relegation trouble following some major January recruitment.
A win at Priestfield can put Carlisle second if Stevenage fail to beat Salford City.
The game follows back-to-back goalless draws with Stevenage and Bradford – battling games which required United to show their full determination, Simpson said.
“To keep two clean sheets is massive,” added the manager. “We’ve just got to keep going.
“The players know that, we know what we’ve got to play for, we know where we’re going, and there’s a real desire to want to stay up in these top places.
“It’s in our hands in terms of the teams below us, but we’re looking above as well.
“We want to be higher, we want to push ourselves, and we have targets that we want to achieve. We’ll keep working to do that.”
Simpson is checking on Paul Huntington’s fitness after the experienced defender missed the Bradford game with a minor abdominal tear.
Ben Barclay, who stepped into the side on Tuesday, could get another outing if Huntington misses out again.
Simpson, meanwhile, admitted it is a challenge picking from his range of attacking options each week.
The Blues boss opted for Kristian Dennis and Ryan Edmondson at Bradford, having started with Omari Patrick and Joe Garner in previous games.
“It’s a difficult one,” he said.
“Kristian Dennis as leading scorer has been patient, he’s kept doing things right, Ryan Edmondson’s got himself fully fit again now, and I’m delighted he’s back available for us.
“I just felt it was more a case of freshening it up on Tuesday, with Omari and Joe going on the bench.
“JK [Gordon] will be frustrated that he’s not involved but I just felt these pairings I’ve gone with were the right ones.
“Obviously, with the fact we haven’t scored goals, I can’t say it was 100 per cent right but I still think they’ve all done a job for the team.”
