Two former Carlisle United players have signed new deals with their respective League Two clubs.
Goalkeeper Paul Farman has extended his stay at Barrow, while defender Max Ehmer has signed up for longer at Gillingham.
Farman, United's keeper in 2020/21, has signed a new one-year in south Cumbria to keep him at Barrow until 2024.
It will take him into a third year at Holker Street. "I’m obviously delighted to extend my stay here, it’s something I always wanted to get done after a positive season so far," he told Barrow's website.
“The club has come a long way even since I joined at the start of last season."
Manager Pete Wild added: "Paul has been one of the bedrocks of our season both on and off the pitch. He sets the standards for others to follow. He is a key part of what we are trying to do here.”
Farman will face his former club when Carlisle take on Barrow at the So Legal Stadium next Saturday.
Former Blues loan defender Ehmer, meanwhile, is prolonging his stay at Gillingham.
The Kent club's statement did not reveal the length of Ehmer's new deal, but it sees him extend an association with the Gills which has already seen more than 350 appearances.
"I feel at home here, I very much enjoy playing for the club, I have a great relationship with the fans and I will continue to give my very best to achieve our collective goals," added 31-year-old Ehmer, who made 14 appearances for United in the 2013/14 campaign whilst on loan from QPR.
He is in his third spell with Gillingham having been on loan at the club in 2014/15 and permanently from 2015-20, rejoining them in 2021 after a spell at Bristol Rovers.
