Carlisle United’s Sam Fishburn tasted cup glory – at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park.
Loan striker Fishburn was in the Morpeth Town side as they defeated Blyth Spartans to win the Northumberland Senior Cup.
The game at Newcastle’s ground saw Morpeth prevail 2-0.
Jeff Henderson and Jack Foalle got the goals to clinch the trophy.
It saw Fishburn, 19, on the winning side against the club with whom he started the season on loan.
After a short-lived spell with Blyth, he moved to Morpeth last September and has spent the season with the club.

The game at St James’ Park was played in front of a 2,324 crowd with Fishburn's team-mates in the final including former Carlisle players Liam Noble and Connor Thomson.
It brings a successful end to Fishburn’s time with Morpeth, whose league season came to an end on Saturday.
They finished 17th in the table, three points above relegation.
Fishburn now returns to Brunton Park where his future will be determined by the Blues.
He is coming towards the end of the two-year contract he signed in June 2021, with his deal including a further one-year club option.
Fishburn was one of two Carlisle loanees involved in big wins on Tuesday night, with youth team midfielder Kai Nugent in the Workington Reds side that beat Clitheroe 2-0 in their NPL West play-off semi-final.
Nugent will now be involved as Reds go for promotion glory in Saturday’s final at home to Runcorn Linnets.
A host of ex-Blues were also in the Workington squad, with goalscorers Conor Tinnion and Dav Symington starting the game along with Steven Rigg, Charlie Birch and Dan Wordsworth, while Keelan Leslie and Ceiran Casson were substitutes.
