Carlisle United are fancied to get the job done at Sutton United and head into the play-offs on a winning note.
Bookmakers have Paul Simpson’s side as short as 11/10 for victory at Gander Green Lane.
That price is offered by SkyBet, with others similarly predicting a Blues win – they are 6/5 with William Hill, 23/20 with Bet365 and 5/4 with Betfred.
Victory for United would almost certainly guarantee a home second leg in the play-off semi-finals.
Defeat on Bank Holiday Monday, meanwhile, would put them at risk of missing out on the play-offs entirely...but only if there was a massive eight goal swing in Mansfield Town’s favour, and both Salford City and Bradford City avoided defeat too.
Sutton, who sit 14th in League Two after six straight defeats and no wins in ten, are 12/5 to beat the Blues with Bet365, and 21/10 with BetVictor.
A draw would see Carlisle safely into the play-offs, and the game is 12/5 to finish all-square.
To keep Mansfield interested, United would probably have to lose at least by the sort of scoreline they suffered on last season’s trip to Gander Green Lane.
Another 4-0 defeat is 150/1, with further value for pessimists and doom-mongers in a 5-0 reverse (400/1) – while corresponding heavy Mansfield wins at Colchester that could give Carlisle the jitters are 50/1 (4-0), 150/1 (5-0) and 300/1 (6-0).
A more upbeat set of predicted scorelines includes a 1-0 United win at 13/2 and a 2-1 away win at 41/5.
A 1-1 draw is 11/2.
Kristian Dennis is 5/1 to cap his prolific season with the first goal, with Joe Garner and Ryan Edmondson - opening goalscorer in the reverse fixture this season - 13/2.
Owen Moxon is 12/1 to delight the travelling fans with the opener, with Callum Guy 14/1, Jordan Gibson 14/1, Jack Armer 33/1 and Jack Robinson 40/1.
For Sutton, Lee Angol is 15/2, Omar Bugiel 8/1, David Ajiboye 16/1 and Alistair Smith – a two-goal star on United’s last visit to Sutton – 12/1.
