Carlisle United fans gave their views to the News & Star on Twitter after the Blues booked a play-off clash with Bradford City following Monday's 1-1 draw at Sutton United.
Here is a selection of their views.
It's been a superb effort to finish fifth this season. Need to start positively against Bradford, last few games we've been slow out of the blocks and allowed the opposition to dictate and grow in confidence whilst we then have to play catch-up to get a foothold in the game (@CowellLes1975)
Big improvement in the second half, Patrick came to life and we got the ball forward more. I think we have to be honest and say that we'd have all been thrilled with the idea of finishing fifth at the start of the season. Two (hopefully three) cup finals to come, COYB (@buzzisbackCUFC)
Perspective: where we were last season, play-offs are a big achievement. Positives: in with a shout, not Stockport (Barclay ineligible, Mellish suspended, Feeney injured), second leg at BP. Negatives: form, potentially confidence, injuries/suspensions, scoring seems a problem (@andrewhoddie)
Looking for positives, none of the teams in the play-offs won today so there are a lot of nerves around. Good to have the second leg at home. Hope we can deliver when it matters most. (@mlgraham73)
Pretty poor today. Some bright moments and a couple of flashes of the Omari Patrick we’ll need in the playoffs. Need to step up for Bradford (@parkinsonross)
So the form table suggested two relegation teams were slogging it out today. Sutton hadn't won in ten, CU had only won two in 11 ! And yet here we are in the play-offs! Form has deserted the Blues not to mention goals! And yet here we are in the play-offs! Positive thoughts needed by one and all. Positive fact, it's Bradford and not Stockport (@LindaNi121202)
Fantastic achievement to be fifth this season. Bradford will be tough to beat but we can do it. (@NotInSeddon)
I know it’s a marathon not a sprint but it does feel like we’ve limped over the finish line. I hoping we’re saving our best for the next couple of games. Up the Blues! (@canoeblue)
Long balls punted up the park are not sufficient to win games, you need a side that will play football. So very disappointed by Carlisle today, they will need to play much better against Bradford. (@Alan_Matthews)
Not at the races again today, disappointing, a lot of players looked tired. We will need to up our performances against Bradford and hope for a bit of luck along the way. Simmo has worked wonders since his arrival, so who knows, we could just snatch promotion after all. (@peterjo91525330)
Well! The stars have certainly aligned for CUFC today. Second leg at home and would rather get shot of Bradford at this stage than see their fans swamp Wembley. (@Andythehood)
Certainly weren't at our best today. Hopefully we can come good in the play-offs (@Philbell719Phil)
Don't seem to have a cutting edge up front, haven't for months. Defence looked unusually shaky. Alfie McCalmont was outstanding. Anyway, clean slate, bring on Bradford. (@FeelingHoly)
A final game, looking to make the playoffs with a goalkeeper called Rose on the pitch was never going to be plain sailing. Job done. (@DRNoble25)
We have goalie who is 20ft tall for the pens. Complete confidence…possibly, probably, maybe (@metty38)
Not too fussed about today. It’s now about Bradford. On a positive point there is no team with any momentum going into the playoffs. It’s anyone's game right now. (@spendercufc)
Really amazing season, survival was the priority, let's hammer Bradford now (@PaulMar21281685)
