Former Carlisle United man Patrick Brough has left Barrow AFC after turning down a new deal.
The Silloth star will move on after four years in south Cumbria.
Left-sided Brough's future has been the subject of speculation for some time.
And Barrow confirmed the departure of the ex-Carlisle academy product when they published their end-of-season retained and released list.
"A new contract was offered to Patrick Brough, but unfortunately terms could not be agreed," the club said.
"We would like to thank Patrick for his service to the club and wish him good luck for the future."
Persistent rumours have linked 27-year-old Brough - who made more than 150 Barrow appearances - with newly-promoted Wrexham.
Another former Carlisle man has been released by Barrow, with defender Mark Ellis leaving Pete Wild's squad at the end of his contract.
At newly-relegated Morecambe, meanwhile, former Carlisle duo Cole Stockton and Arthur Gnahoua are among a large exodus of players.
