Paul Simpson has played down injury fears over Callum Guy ahead of Carlisle United’s play-off second leg.
The key Blues midfielder was substituted in the second half of the 1-0 first leg defeat at Bradford City.
Guy appeared to hurt his arm at Valley Parade and was in some discomfort shortly before his withdrawal.
But manager Simpson suggested it wasn’t a major problem – and he’d been planning to replace Guy anyway.
“I don't think it's a problem,” Simpson said.
“He [Guy] went down awkwardly and hurt himself, but I don't think it's a major issue.
“I was considering changing it anyway. I'd had that change in my mind.
“So when he went down, I decided to do it and make that change and thought Taylor Charters coming on gave us great energy, which was really pleasing.”
Simpson does not foresee any fresh injury problems from Sunday’s hard-fought game as Carlisle prepare for Saturday’s huge second leg at Brunton Park.
“I think everybody will want to be involved in it,” added the Blues boss, who will have striker John-Kymani Gordon available after the end of his three-game suspension.
