WE asked readers for their thoughts on the new Carlisle United kits for their 2023/24 season in League One.

The striking new home and away designs by Umbro were revealed by the club at midday.

United's home strip sees the club revert to a more traditional royal blue after last season's darker blue home strip from previous supplier Errea.

It features white and red flashes across the home shirt, along with blue shorts and socks, in a new-look strip for Paul Simpson's side as they return to the third tier.

Here's how our readers reacted.

Elizabeth Nicholson said: "Blue one is ok. Do not like the others," while Rachel Sharp said: "Love the away shirt."

Maureen Shaw and Caroline Rhodes both said they 'love them', and Amy Mammy  Bradberry said: "I like them. Very modern. Will be in the shop tomorrow getting three for my kids."

Ian Silvo Silverwood said: "Don't like them. Hope they grow on me," and Phil Robinson said: "I really like the home kit."

Alan Barlow said: "I love the home shirt," as Gavin Ruddick added: "The away would have been better using the deck chair colours."

One web user said the shirts 'look like a box of liquorice allsorts'.

Kaz Lorna Campbell said: "Like the blue but the away shirt instead of using pink think red would have been better. Very modern abstract art in design though."

The new strips go on sale to season ticket holders in the Blues Store from 4-8pm today before going on general sale tomorrow.
