Former Carlisle United man Brennan Dickenson has linked up with a League Two club in pre-season.
The 30-year-old is training with Mansfield Town.
It follows his release from Brunton Park after three seasons with the club.
Last term was a write-off for the left-sided player who missed the entire season because of an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.
He returned to fitness late in the campaign but did not figure in any of United's matchday squads as the Blues won promotion to League One.
Mansfield boss Nigel Clough confirmed that the former Colchester United, Exeter City and MK Dons player was spending time with them on a trial basis.
"[We've got] Brennan Dickenson, a lad who's come in to get fit with us and do some pre-season," Clough said in a club interview.
Dickenson is one of two players on trial with the Stags, the other being former Newport County defender Aaron Lewis who Mansfield are hoping to sign.
Dickenson made 55 appearances for United, scoring three goals, after joining the club under Chris Beech in 2020.
