Carlisle United drew 1-1 with Scottish Premiership side Livingston in a behind-closed-doors friendly today.
Striker Ryan Edmondson got the goal in the game played during the Blues’ training week at the University of St Andrews.
The match saw new signing Dan Butterworth get his first outing in a United short.
He played 60 minutes, while trialist goalkeeper Dan Langley made his latest appearance in a 30-minute outing.
But United’s star midfielder Owen Moxon was not involved in the game, after he was substituted at half-time at Workington on Saturday.
Carlisle gave defender Corey Whelan and midfielder Jayden Harris the full 90 minutes, with a number of other players getting an hour of action.
Those to play 60 minutes were Tomas Holy, Sam Lavelle, Jon Mellish, Ben Barclay, Dylan McGeouch, Taylor Charters, Jack Robinson, Joe Garner and Butterworth, as manager Paul Simpson giving many of those who had played an hour at Workington the final 30 minutes in Scotland.
Stephen Kelly scored in the 47th minute to hand the lead to a Livingston side who included former Carlisle players Tom Parkes and Shamal George.
Edmondson, though, struck in the 73rd minute as he converted a Jordan Gibson pass to level against David Martindale's opponents.
The game against a Livingston side already back in competitive action was not open to the public or media.
United remain at the university for the rest of the week before Saturday's friendly against Newcastle United's Under-21s at Gateshead.
Moxon was not involved three days after he was replaced at the interval at Workington in what assistant manager Gavin Skelton described as a precautionary move, the coach saying the midfielder "felt something" in the first half at Borough Park which was not worth risking in the rest of that game.
United: Holy (Langley 60), Whelan, Lavelle (Huntington 60), Mellish (Kilsby 60), Barclay (Ellis 60), Harris, McGeouch (Guy 60), Charters (McCalmont 60), Robinson (Armer 60), Garner (Edmondson 60), Butterworth (Gibson 60).
