Former Carlisle United loan man JK Gordon is attracting interest from a number of clubs, according to latest reports.

The Crystal Palace striker, who helped the Blues to promotion last season, looks likely to make another loan move.

Blues boss Paul Simpson admitted earlier this month that he was interested in bringing the young frontman back to Brunton Park.

And there appears to be other interest in the 20-year-old.

According to a report by Football Insider, Gordon is "on the radar of some unnamed EFL teams" this summer.

Simpson told the News & Star earlier in pre-season that there was "interest" at United in bringing back both Gordon and Nottingham Forest's Fin Back for fresh loan spells as Carlisle prepare for League One.

But the manager said United were having to be patient when it came to loan targets at Premier League clubs.

Speaking at Carlisle's Scottish training camp this week, Simpson said Carlisle were pursuing four potential top-flight loan players.

“We’re still being guided by Premier League clubs on four players for loans, so I’m waiting on that," the United manager said.

Gordon has featured for Palace in pre-season friendlies this summer, his latest outing coming from the bench in the Eagles' 4-0 win at Crawley Town on Wednesday.

Simpson, speaking in early July about both Gordon and Back, said: "There’s interest – whether we can get them is another thing.

“I thought both lads did very well. I don't know what the clubs’ thoughts are on it, but we'll speak to them.

“I speak to Steve Cooper [Nottingham Forest’s manager] regularly.

“Mark Bright [and Crystal Palace] have really enjoyed what we did with JK and they liked how we looked after him.

“So I don't think we've done ourselves any harm, whether it's with JK or whether it’s with any other players at their club.”

Gordon made 17 appearances for United last season, scoring two goals.

He played a vital part in their play-off success over Bradford City, forcing the opening goal in their second-leg semi-final victory, and went on to start in the Wembley final against Stockport County.
