Former Carlisle United defender Mark Ellis has signed for Chorley FC - a day after playing for them against the Blues.
The experienced centre-half played for the Magpies in the second half of Tuesday's pre-season 1-1 draw against United.
And now he has signed a permanent deal with Andy Preece's squad.
Ellis, 34, was a free agent after leaving Barrow this summer.
He has now linked up with Chorley for the 2023/24 National League North season.
Chorley boss Preece - himself an ex-Carlisle player - is delighted to have brought in Ellis.
A warm welcome to our newest recruit of the summer, Mark Ellis... 👋

“We have tracked Mark for the last few years knowing we’d be lucky if he was to drop to our level," Preece told the club website.
"A lot of work has gone in previously so when Mark was available we were ready with an offer.
"Mark was keen to come to us and the deal was done straight away.
"To get someone of Mark’s experience and quality is a massive coup for us.
"His record speaks for itself he will add that experience, leadership and know-how to a relatively young squad."
Ellis came on for Chorley at half-time in the friendly against Carlisle and helped keep the Blues at bay in a second half when the Cumbrians failed to score.
The defender was with United from 2015-18, initially on loan and then permanently, and made 74 appearances.
His other clubs include Bolton Wanderers, Torquay United, Forest Green Rovers, Crewe Alexandra, Shewsbury Town, Leyton Orient, Tranmere Rovers, Notts County, Solihull Moors and York City.
