A 13-year-old from Cumbria has earned the chance to play in an adult darts league thanks to his impressive performances north of the border.
Devon Hardie, from Workington, has been a keen darts player since the age of four but was forced to compete in the Annan Youth League until recently, due to a lack of options in Cumbria.
The teenager, who dreams of playing at the Ally Pally World Darts Championship, has impressed with his skills and now competes against adults in the Jemcare Darts League in his hometown.
In an interview with the BBC Cumbria, the organiser of the Jemcare Darts League, Craig Lewthwaite, said: "He's doing very, very well. I'm sure if you asked a lot of the other lads in the darts league, they'd probably tell you exactly the same thing.
"He seems to be enjoying it as well, which is the main thing. That's all we are interested in, in the league, helping his game develop but making sure he enjoys it more than anything."
Devon has won one, drawn two, and lost three of his matches thus far, which leaves him in a respectable 14th position in the league.
