SEASIDERS SWOOP FOR SUTTON STRIKER

Blackpool are being strongly linked with a move for Sutton United’s Kylian Kouassi.

The 20-year-old frontman, claim Football League World, have agreed a deal for the Gander Green Lane marksman.

Kouassi, who scored against Carlisle on the last day of last season, could now join the Tangerines as they seek to bolster their attack following the recent sale of ex-Blues man Jerry Yates to Swansea City.

POMPEY EYE CHELSEA MIDFIELDER

Chelsea’s Tino Anjorin is being eyed for a potential loan move by Portsmouth.

That’s according to football.london, who reckon Fratton Park boss John Mousinho is eager to bring in the Poole-born midfielder.

Anjorin had a loan spell at Huddersfield Town last season but the England Under-20 man could now drop to the third tier in search of more first-team football.

ROYALS TARGET CHERRIES MAN

Reading are among the clubs showing interest in Bournemouth’s Gavin Kilkenny.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed previous loan spells with Stoke City and Charlton Athletic.

Championship club Birmingham City have been linked but the Royals in League One are also keen to bring in the Irish prospect, according to Football Insider.

LEAGUE ONE RIVALS IN £1M LINK

Exeter City striker Sam Nombe is the subject of a potential £1m offer from Barnsley, according to reports.

The Tykes are said to be “planning” a seven-figure offer for the Grecians frontman, Football Insider reckons.

Nombe hit 17 goals last season although is yet to register a goal this campaign.

HAMMERS WATCH POSH PROSPECT

Young Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards is being monitored by West Ham United.

That’s according to a report in the Daily Mail, who say the Premier League club watched Edwards last week.

The 20-year-old, who joined from Barnet in 2020, has started all Posh’s games so far this term.

AUSSIES EYE EX-BLUES MAN

Australia are keeping tabs on Bolton Wanderers’ former Carlisle United defender Jack Iredale.

The international side have sent assistant coach Rene Meulensteen to watch Iredale recently, reports the Bolton News.

Iredale has played at youth level for the Socceroos and could now be in the mix for a senior call-up.

LEGEND REACTS TO STATUE

Port Vale legend and former Carlisle United striker John Rudge has responded to plans for a statue in his honour.

After a fans’ fundraising campaign, a likeness of the statue was revealed at a supporters’ club meeting. The real statue is planned to be in place next year.

Speaking in the Sentinel, he said: “I am grateful to the supporters for doing this for me. I’ve seen the models of the statue and it seems fantastic really. I am highly delighted with what they’ve shown me already.”

LATICS DEFENDER HEADING NORTH

Wigan Athletic defender Luke Robinson is set for a move to Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone.

The left-back, a former Scotland Under-19 international, has long been eyed by Saints boss Steven MacLean.

“Luke is desperate to come here and get started. He can’t wait to be involved,” MacLean told The Courier.

Hull City’s move for Derby County’s Max Bird looks to have been dashed by an injury.

Ankle ligament damage is set to rule the 22-year-old out for two months.

“I feel for Max more than anyone because he was the fittest player in pre-season and the best performer this season in my opinion,” Rams boss Paul Warne told the Derby Telegraph.

CHELSEA KEEPER JOINS ADDICKS

Charlton Athletic have drafted in 19-year-old goalkeeper Prince Adegoke.

The keeper, who spent the last seven years with Chelsea, earned a deal at the Valley after a trial.

He will join Charlton’s Under-21 squad and provide first-team cover. Technical director Andy Scott told their website: “He’s an excellent talent with real potential.”
