Fans need to stay patient as the Blues work to get things right both on and off the pitch.
CUOSC are still unable to comment further on the prospect of potential new investors but have promised our members we will do so as soon as it is possible.
While on the playing side the Blues continue to work hard in search of that elusive first win of the season.
Boss Paul Simpson has said that talks with the investors appear to be going well.
What CUOSC can say is that we are still on course to organise an important meeting next month where fans will have the chance to meet and question the people involved.
Our members will be given attendance priority but we will try to fill capacity by offering spare spaces to others. We also plan to stream the meeting live. Again, the date, time and location will be announced as soon as possible.
Chief executive Nigel Clibbens revealed in his latest update that there is “credible interest from people in taking over the club” and that discussions were continuing.
He believes the club is in its best position for over a decade. Gates are up and off-the-field business is the highest it has been for years.
It all comes on the back of a promotion season and means the club has rarely been in a better position to attract investment.
Meanwhile, Simpson is keen to add another striker to his squad before the transfer window closes at 11pm tomorrow.
He seems to have hit a number of obstacles, the chief one being the extra financial clout of some of our League One rivals.
No doubt he will be anxious to get any business done well before the deadline but these things have a habit of going to the wire.
Fans are hoping that with keeper Dean Henderson looking set to move from Manchester United to Crystal Palace for £20million the Blues might benefit from the sell-on clause.
However, it is understood, we have already had some of the cash in appearance money and the rest is likely to come in dribs and drabs.
