Carlisle United fans were in upbeat mood after the 2-0 win over Shrewsbury Town.
Here are some of the post-match views the Blue Army gave us on X after the game.
Much better performance. Far more confident that the new additions will be the catalyst that will take us up the table. The fans were absolutely amazing. The only question is the goalkeeper, but a few more games may well sort that issue out. (@BruceVander)
Great team performance. I was pleased he went back to three at the back. Callum Guy was immense. (@dubhead77)
Better 2nd half than 1st. Created some good opportunities at times but quite often final pass was poor. Nevertheless 3 points and hopefully we'll kick on now. Impressed with Maguire and Plange. Ablade could be a real asset. Guy was awesome at times... (@PaulLighty24910)
It would’ve been worrying if we couldn’t beat them today, but credit to us we were just that little bit more clinical going forward than we have been and deserved the win. Callum Guy outstanding and Sean Maguire looking promising now he’s in the groove. Plenty of positives. (@lewisrids3)
Better team all over the pitch today. Grew into the game as it went on and fully deserved the three points in the end. Shrewsbury hardly laid a glove on us all game which was down to how well we played and defended. Didn’t think much of their number 5. (@Nick_Brown86)
Absolutely superb. Great win against that ambitious, huge club with a couple of hundred silent away fans. We have nothing to fear in this league. Deserved a draw at Vale and Oxford and at home v Exeter. Hopefully this is the start of a points haul to get us in the pack. (@scholes_peter)
Enjoyed that....enjoyed the booing...Feeney didn't I know but what did he expect. He enjoyed the 'Feeney, Feeney, what's the score even less'. Sad state of affairs for a former captain who was more used to a "Feeney Feeney" chorus from Blues fans. We played well & won! (@LindaNi121202)
Great boost to the lads, monkey off their back with a huge win. Better team all over the pitch and deserved 3pts. Sets up nicely for 2 tough away games in Stevenage & Lincoln + great next home game in Derby to look forward too. Hope this win get us a good run of results. (@IanWsanderson)
Superb three points! Had the performance and most importantly got that first goal in the game..Once we've played Stevenage we'll have played 4 out of 6 of the early pace setters. Hopefully this will be a springboard as we acclimatise to League 1 (@CowellLes1975)
Deserved it! Defence and Guy in particular superb, but all of them gave 100% all game. Young Ablade looked a right handful, definitely looking forward to seeing more of him. (@mtuj1974)
Great team performance, deserved to win. There was energy and spirit throughout the team and there is no reason why we can't get something at Stevenage. Apparently Feeney refused to shake hands with Simmo and accused him of stirring up the fans to boo him. Feeney out of order. (@peterjo91525330)
Brilliant to get that win! Fantastic performance had to grind it out at points but we looked more threatening on the break in the 2nd half. Guy & Mox worked their socks off. Terry’s pace gave us something extra! Get in Blues!! (@fish_blues)
Deserved! Goals and clean sheet! Hopefully the catalyst for the season that. Squad depth will be massive this season as it will be a tough long slog (@Jonnyreay)
Thought Lavelle was man of the match, outstanding - saying that the whole team played well (@GeoffRo39583097)
Great performance, not a bad player in blue today and the fans to match (DavidJav9954)
