Carlisle United fans gave us their views on X following the 2-2 draw at Stevenage - here is a selection of their comments.
What an attritional game. Andresson man of the match. We dug in, survived the aerial onslaught and sneaked a point. We all need to believe we are here to compete (@Martin Crellin1)
Fans have seen the Andresson that Simmo signed now. He was immense. Still think we lose possession too easily in midfield but that was a good side we denied three points to (@JHallHDI)
The lads showed real character out there today; the heat, a good Stevenage team, some poor decisions from the officials and they still manage to equalise twice. I think that 1st XI needs to be starting every week. (@EarnThtDanegeld)
Done well to scrape a point there, Andresson absolutely brilliant. A lot to build on in the midfield, today wasn’t their strongest performance (@KargeOllie)
That was very tough to watch. Not the most aesthetically pleasing performance but that point could be crucial. Outplayed for the majority but picking up points while not playing that well is satisfying. (@FlemingDominic)
Battled hard to stay in the game, some fine saves by the keeper to the keep us in the game. A barely deserved point but one we will savour (almost!) like a victory in the face of an ordinary refereeing display! (@CowellLes1975)
Didn’t give up and that’s all you ask of a Carlisle team - this time it paid off. Wouldn’t have grumbled had we lost but at the same time Stevenage can’t grumble at a draw. Andresson kept us in the game so MOTM for me. Up the League One Blues! (@Guuuuuy)
It's an excellent point away from home. They are very effective and have some quality too, but we stood up to it well. Andresson made two or three top saves and we hung in to give ourselves a chance. Still think we can be better with the ball, but plenty to be pleased about. (@BenJoseph0157)
Keeps was magnificent. We were light in midfield (again). Ablade has pace to burn, should have had a pen. Garner again showing what his experience brings. Really should have lost but dug deep. I won't mention the ref as I'll probably receive a ban. (@FeelingHoly)
Outstanding goalkeeping performance kept us in the game when really 2nd best for long periods. Stevenage played some decent stuff but we stood off them too often. A concern would be losing too many aerial battles. Still, shows good character to grind out a point when below par. (@BackoSkiddaw)
That must have been gruelling for both sides and maybe performances suffered, the ref was a worry and showed his colours first half, and tbf 2nd half as well while smiling his way through it. However 2 great comebacks, a tricky 1st for Maguire and a 2nd in 2 for the 3rd coming of Joe (@LindaNi121202)
It’s a point - we’re hard to beat. Joey G 2 in 2 (@keithelliott94)
Why did I watch that, bit like a colonoscopy, knew what to expect but still grim. Only consolation - Evans and his sidekick will be unhappy which along with a point makes me happy. (@malky45)
Just wish they would play balls in the channels for Ablade to run onto, his pace is frightening (@GeoffRo39583097)
The three CBs are conceding far too many chances, Whelan needs brought in, possibly needs to be looking at going four at the back as we get run all over in midfield (@mikearchie87)
