Carlisle United have asked for more tickets from Bolton Wanderers after already selling out their allocation for next month's trip.
The Blues announced that their initial allocation of 1,965 has already been snapped up by the Blue Army.
They are now awaiting a response from the Trotters on whether they can have more for the League One clash on Saturday, October 7.
Tickets only went on sale on Saturday evening after the Derby County game, with United's fans in the Franking Sense South Stand Lower Tier at Bolton's ground.
It promises to be a bumper travelling support for Paul Simpson's side as fans visit Bolton's ground to watch the Blues there for the first time.
United's only previous visit to the Toughsheet Community Stadium, a 1-0 defeat in April 2021, came at a time fans were locked out of games during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Carlisle's most recent trip to Bolton when fans were allowed came back in October 1987 at Wanderers' former home of Burnden Park - a 5-0 defeat for the Cumbrians that day in Division Four.
United last won an away game against Bolton in March 1977 - a 4-3 victory in Division Two.

We have already requested more from Bolton and are waiting for more details #cufc
Next month's trip to Bolton is the third shortest on United's League One calendar this season at 103.2 miles, with only Blackpool and Fleetwood Town closer to the Blues.
It will be a welcome shorter trip for the Cumbrians and their supporters after recent long journeys to southern opponents such as Oxford United and Stevenage, and with Wycombe Wanderers this weekend's destination.
The game next month will see a number of reunions on the pitch, meanwhile.
Bolton's side includes Cumbrian midfielder Kyle Dempsey who started his career with the Blues.
Ex-Blues defenders Gethin Jones and Jack Iredale are also in Ian Evatt's ranks.
Bolton currently sit seventh in League One after four wins, two draws and two defeats.
