Carlisle United fans gave us their views on X after the 2-0 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers. Here is a selection of their comments.
That should be the end of the goalkeeper debate. We look so much better with Garner on, it’s time to give him a start. Guy and, bar the second goal, Lavelle probably our two best performers. Taking some heart for the fight we showed but we need to start picking up some points. (@lewisrids3)
Created little, deserved the result if not necessarily the manner of it. Wasn't a pen, was a red card. Very poor refereeing performance. Good to see Holy back in. Huge investment needed if not adrift by January, the calibre of our summer window signings is shining dully through. (@krisfoster)
Simply no goal threat. Garner was excellent and we played some great footie in that 20 mins. Definite Red. Never a pen. Can't blame the referee every week but they are a factor. (@FeelingHoly)
Awful 1st half, much better for 30 mins in the 2nd half. But, overall, very disappointing. Andresson's error and hoof ball in the first period was dreadful. We won't win anything if we repeat that tactic. Once we got the ball on the floor we looked much better. Onwards and... (@BruceVander)
Simply woeful performance. Only positive I can take out of today is that we didn’t get beat by more (@tommo0169)
Nothing at all going forward, the forward line must be priority in january (@GeoffRo39583097)
Last Saturday we lost 2-0 and I had a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday. Can’t wait for tomorrow… (@mspoons_)
I really thought today might be the day, did we under estimate them or are we over estimating ourselves? We used to expect a bounce back after a defeat, so I really hope it comes on Tuesday. (@Linda121202)
Wasn’t there but sadly as it stands it’s nailed on relegation form. Only points deductions keeping us out of the drop zone (@Glass942)
