With the Blues on the brink of a new era there has never been a better time to join CUOSC.

The proposed takeover has seen our membership soar to 1,100 – more than double what it was 18 months ago. But we are not finished yet, we want even more – because the more members we have the louder our voice will be.

Under the potential new owners, American businessman Tom Piatak and his family, we believe CUOSC can forge a new path.

Although we have agreed to reduce our shareholding to allow the takeover to go through, we are confident we can still have a big influence in the boardroom.

Having talked to the Piatak family over the last few months we know they want to be as accessible to fans as possible and fully understand the importance of the club’s relationship with its supporters and the community.

The influx of new members hasn’t just come from the local area. We have always had members from around the world but have noticed recently there has been a few more Americans joining – perhaps, it is a sign of things to come!

It costs £10 for adults for one year and £5 for senior citizens and under-18s. Benefits include priority for in demand tickets games and 10% discount in the club shop.

Also, if members would like to become more involved and are interested in joining the CUOSC board we would love to hear from you.

We are holding our Annual General Meeting on Sunday, December 3 – the time and place to be confirmed – and there will be at least two vacancies for new board members.

If you would like to know more about the role you can contact us at info@cuosc.org.uk

Our next regular board meeting will be held next Wednesday, October 18. Once again if you have any questions email the above address

Finally, massive plaudits to the 4,400 strong ‘Blue Army’ that travelled to Bolton at the weekend. They were, undoubtedly, United’s 12th man.

The team fed on the fans’ energy and enthusiasm and produced their best performance of the season to claim a well-deserved victory against one of League One’s fancied teams.

Let’s make sure we get behind the Blues in the same manner against Leyton Orient at Brunton Park on Saturday.
