Penrith AFC will host Carlisle United on their new pitch next week - after their own landmark first league game on the surface.
The Northern League Division One club, who recently had a new artificial pitch installed, are allowing the Blues to use their ground for next Tuesday's Central League Cup game against Blackpool.
The United second string game at the Leo Group Stadium (Frenchfield Park) comes three days after Penrith play their first home game of the league season.
Saturday's visit of Northallerton Town comes after more than two months of away games for Darren Edmondson's side.
Home fixtures in cup competitions, meanwhile, have seen the Bonny Blues borrow other Cumbrian grounds, with United's Brunton Park and Carlisle City's Three Rivers Health and Safety Consultancy Stadium used by Penrith.
This weekend, then, marks a long awaited return to their home ground.
The newly-laid surface, with the revamp of the pitch and other facilities costing about £885,000, was used by Edmondson's side for the first time in last week's Fred Conway Cumberland Cup first round 7-0 victory over Bransty Rangers.
They followed that up with an impressive 3-1 win at Redcar Athletic in the league, leaving Penrith eyeing a third straight win this weekend.
Edmondson's side sit 17th in the table after ten games, a place above this weekend's visitors.
United's reserve game next Tuesday, meanwhile, is their second in this season's reserve cup.
They lost 2-1 at Wigan Athletic in August's opener.
The game will give Paul Simpson's fringe players a chance to redeem themselves after this Tuesday's dismal EFL Trophy showing in their 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest's Under-21s.
Simpson described the performance as "disgraceful" and said careers would suffer unless standards improved dramatically.
Kick-off next Tuesday is 1pm, with entry £2.
Penrith v Northallerton gets under way at 3pm on Saturday, with entry £6 for adults, £3 concessions and free for under-12s.
