Aspatria's rugby union ground will play host to the town's county senior football cup clash with Carlisle United.

It has been confirmed that Bower Park, home of Aspatria RUFC, will be the venue for the second round meeting between Aspatria FC and the Blues in the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup.

Next month will see Carlisle send an XI to take on their Cumberland County League opponents.

The tie has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, with a 7pm kick-off.

United were handed a trip to Aspatria after narrowly getting past Carlisle City in the first round.

A Blues side featuring several first team players were held 1-1 before edging through on penalties against Jim Nichols' Northern League Division One side.

Aspatria, meanwhile, were among the clubs to receive a first-round bye.

United are hoping to win the county cup for the first time since 2019, with Workington Reds the current holders.

Reds' own second round tie sees them go to Dearham United.
