Jayden Harris’s eventful start to life on loan continued – with a red card and an emphatic FA Cup win.
While his Carlisle United team-mates bowed out of the FA Cup, Harris reached the second round with Eastleigh.
They thrashed fellow National League side Boreham Wood 5-1 at home with midfielder Harris starting the game.
But the Blues man was dismissed for two bookable offences, Harris heading for an early bath in the 71st minute.
It was a third outing for Harris since he joined the Hampshire outfit on loan until mid-January.
Another of Carlisle’s loan players was in action on Saturday as Max Kilsby helped Annan Athletic to a 2-2 draw with Kelty Hearts.
The young defender played the full game as Peter Murphy’s side led twice before being pegged back at Galabank.
It was a 14th outing of the season for 20-year-old Kilsby, whose fellow Blues loanee, Kai Nugent, was not in the Annan squad.
Goals from Michael Garrity and Aidan Smith featured in a result which saw Annan remain second bottom after a first point in five games.
United’s youth team defender Josh O’Brien did not have a game this weekend with loan club Workington Reds, managed by Danny Grainger, not in action.
A number of ex-Blues were in the thick of the weekend action, meanwhile.
