The Blues' next league fixture is likely to be one for the history books.

The signs are a bumper crowd will be at Brunton Park to welcome the start of a new era against Charlton on Saturday week.

American logistics businessman Tom Piatak and his family, who want to take over the club, will be back in Carlisle before the game.

And they have indicated through their ‘CastleSportsGroup’ that everything is on track to complete the deal in the ‘near future’.

Tickets are already selling well with fans expected to turn out in force.

The Florida-based family have confirmed there has been a successful resolution of the club's legacy debt and will be keen to move forward.

They have promised serious investment to strengthen the playing squad and to modernise and rejuvenate the club. Fans will be eager to show their support for the new regime.

Tom, his wife Patty, son Tom II, his wife Alice, daughter Jenna and her fiancé Nick DeMasi are already planning some ‘quick wins’ at Brunton Park for once the takeover goes through.

With that in mind CUOSC asked for volunteers to lend a hand ‘sprucing up’ the ground and we have had a fantastic response.

A group of over 30 people has been assembled and we are putting a plan in place to move forward quickly. Anyone interested in joining the group can get more information by emailing info@cuosc.orguk

CUOSC marked the service of remembrance in Carlisle city centre on Sunday with board member Carol Wilson laying a poppy wreath on our behalf. Billy Atkinson, CUOSC’s representative on United’s Holdings Board laid a wreath on behalf of the club.

CUOSC’s Annual General Meeting will take place in Foxy’s restaurant at Brunton Park on Sunday, December 3 from 1pm (doors open 12.30). The meeting will also be streamed.

Eight members have put their names forward to fill the four places available on our 10-strong board.

These include Nigel Davidson and Carol Wilson who are standing for re-election. The others are Mike Denovellis, Gerard Gornall, Richard Mullen, Ross Parkinson, Martin Robson and Claire Winder.

The candidate statements will appear on our website and will be sent to members in our weekly briefing with the voting results announced before the AGM.
