Carlisle United fans gave us their views on social media platform X after the 1-1 draw at Fleetwood Town on Boxing Day - here's a selection of their comments...
Better, should’ve won it. Really have to start picking up wins soon. Charters, Mellish and Edmondson the stand outs. Odd decision to move Edmo when Plange came on. Need to get something on Friday now. (@parkinsonross)
Better. Just want to get to January with no more than 5 points off 5th bottom if possible. Need a huge turn around to survive but plenty of games and investment in better players to come. (@scholes_peter)
Deserved the draw after a more competitive performance. What a difference it would make if we could nick an occasional win - we had the chances. Will need to improve again to get anything at Wigan (@tim_martland)
Better, but it's a low benchmark. One point against Cheltenham and Fleetwood combined is poor when we needed four to six points from these two games realistically. Scored the first goal, which is a collectors' item this year and was much needed. Not positive enough given league position (@CarlisleSaint)
Played quite well first half - overall better team. Second half less so. Worse after subs. But Edmo should have scored and Gibbo might have… Teams have escaped from worse positions but not often… (@Blencath007)
Top performance today considering we're the away team and they'd be confident after the Pompey draw. We will stay up I have no doubts about it (@JoshYoungFarmer)
With hindsight at the end of this very difficult season, that could be seen as a precious away point! (@NotInSeddon)
Gabe on his debut was massively protected and wasn’t tested, which is fantastic for the lad. We defended deep to protect him. Forget where we are, forget 2 points dropped, this was all about looking after GB. We’re going to need him, so this’ll massively boost his confidence. (@AyeCumbrian)
Relagation performance against a relegation rival. Reasonable effort, but lacking any quality or guile across all key areas of the park (@Glass942)
Don’t get why we sat so deep towards the end when we needed to win. Better than Saturday but again didn’t take chances presented. We have one hell of a fight on our hands after a pretty dismal Christmas. Onto Wigan (@ReiverPhil)
The final third has let us down all season, no threat going forward. Better performance and effort today against another poor team, but unless we can string a few wins together very soon then I am afraid it will be goodbye to League 1. (@peterjo91525330)
Wish we wouldn't camp in our third for the last 15 mins. Good vocals from Breeze and Lavelle (@dougrmurphy)
Gutsy display but a lot of things to reflect on. Breeze did well. Edmo showed why fans have been wanting him to start for a while. Needed substitutions earlier but Plange innocuous when he came on. (@JHallHDI)
Let's not over-egg the performance and forget who we played, where they are in the league, how bad they are at home and how many players they had out injured. (@tashkentterror)
We drew against a team we should beaten. From 75 mins we sat back for the draw against a team with 13 injuries and worst home record... (@HunterMartyn)
Maybe should have won, would have taken a point 2 months ago but unfortunately we need wins now, shout out to Gabe though - did his job today #feelthebreeze (@cufcaidan)
No good settling for a point against teams around us. Eight points adrift if Exeter win the game in hand (@jrichardson1196)
2 scared teams (@FizzyBoB)
