Kai Nugent scored on his return to the Annan Athletic side.
The young Carlisle United loanee, back from injury, was named in Peter Murphy’s starting line-up for their home clash against Montrose.
And the teenager struck on the hour mark to put the Galabankies 2-1 ahead (watch the goal below).
Their visitors, though hit back to force a 2-2 draw despite having two men sent off in the second half.
It was Nugent’s third goal in ten appearances for the Scottish League One side, the 18-year-old first-year United pro back in action after more than a month on the sidelines.
Nugent, who was substituted after 75 minutes, was joined in the Annan side by defender Max Kilsby, who played the full game in defence.
The 20-year-old’s 22nd appearance of the season was the last of his half-season loan from Brunton Park with Blues boss Paul Simpson set to discuss the next step for left-sided Kilsby.
Nugent is on a full-season loan.
Their fellow Blues loan man Jayden Harris, meanwhile, helped Eastleigh earn an FA Cup replay against Newport County - and the chance of a fourth round clash with Manchester United.
The Carlisle midfielder was a substitute for the National League side against their League Two hosts.
Harris came off the bench in the 76th minute as the Spitfires trailed to James Clarke’s Newport opener.
Soon after, the visitors earned a penalty which Chris Maguire converted to secure a replay in Hampshire on Tuesday week.
The winners of the replay will be at home to Manchester United in round four after the Premier League club saw off Wigan Athletic 2-0 on Monday night.
It was 24-year-old Harris’s 14th appearance for Eastleigh in a loan spell which runs until January 20, meaning he would need to secure a loan extension in order to be involved in the fourth round - which is on the weekend of January 27 - should Eastleigh progress.
The Blues man also collected a booking in his 15-minute cameo – his fifth yellow card in successive appearances.
Teenager Sam Hetherington made his latest Workington Reds appearance in their 3-1 defeat to Radcliffe in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
The midfielder, who is on a work experience loan, was summoned to replace Brad Hubbold after 38 minutes of Reds’ 3-1 defeat.
A number of ex-Carlisle United men were in the thick of the weekend action, meanwhile.
Workington’s loss at Radcliffe saw the final game of Luke Joyce’s playing career, the ex-Carlisle midfielder coming off the bench at half-time for the hosts.
Joyce will now begin a full-time northern scouting role for Premier League club Brentford.
Dav Symington scored the consolation for Danny Grainger’s Reds after being appointed captain, with new joint assistant boss Jamie Devitt coming off the bench for the visitors.
The same division saw Manasse Mampala score for Marine in their 4-1 home defeat to Hyde United.
