Ross Stewart, the goalkeeper whose move to Carlisle United fell through because of a registration issue, has signed for a new club.
The 28-year-old has joined Scottish Championship outfit Partick Thistle.
Stewart was on the bench for the Jags' 4-0 win over Arbroath on Saturday.
It follows his move to Firhill until the end of the season - weeks after his proposed switch to Carlisle collapsed.
Former Heart of Midlothian No1 Stewart had trained with United for several weeks and had agreed terms to join the Cumbrians as a free agent in early December.
The club can this morning confirm the signing of goalkeeper Ross Stewart on a deal until the end of the season, subject to Scottish FA clearance.

But it was then revealed he was still registered with another club, meaning the Blues would not be able to sign him until January.
Stewart left Carlisle at that point and the former Scotland youth international has now returned north of the border.
Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan, speaking on the club website, said: “We’ve always spoken about adding as much competition as possible to this squad and bringing Ross into the fold does that within the goalkeeping department.
“He’s a player who’s been at a top club working with top players for a few seasons now and is keen to come here and really push for first team minutes.
"There has been interest in him from elsewhere in Scotland and down south so we’re delighted he’s chosen Thistle.
“Heading into the business end of the season, we need a squad full of players who are bringing the best out of each other and this signing feeds into that.
"We’ll continue working hard to add even more quality to this squad to put us in the best possible position for the second half of the season.”
United boss Paul Simpson, at the point he confirmed the Stewart deal was off, revealed that the keeper was still registered with a club he had joined on a short-term basis earlier in the season.
Carlisle's manager is now seeking another senior keeper in the January transfer window. Young Cumbrian Gabe Breeze has started United's last four games after replacing Tomas Holy, with loanee Jokull Andresson due back from injury later this month.
Some reports have linked United with interest in ex-Portsmouth and MK Dons keeper Craig MacGillivray but he looks set to join Stevenage.
