Bolton Wanderers have brought in a Championship loanee in time for their trip to Carlisle United.
Nathanael Ogbeta has linked up with the Trotters from Swansea City until the end of the season.
The wing-back could be in the squad to face Carlisle pending international clearance.
Ogbeta, an England Under-20 international, is a former Manchester City youth player who went on to play for Shrewsbury Town in League One.
He also has third-tier experience from a loan spell with Peterborough United during his time with Swansea, whom he joined in January 2022.
The left-sided player's arrival offsets the loss of Randell Williams to a hamstring injury.
Bolton manager Ian Evatt told his club's website of the new signing: "He's very much the type of player we want and need for that position.
“We've probably needed to make this move more urgently because of the Randell scenario but that happens in football and that's not to say they can't play together at some point as I think either could play either side.
“It's an exciting one for us. Nathanael is a player we’ve looked at for the past couple of windows who wasn't available then. He’s available to us now and we've been lucky enough to make it happen.”
His move to Bolton means there could be three new signings on show in the clash with the Blues, who have Jack Diamond and ex-Bolton midfielder Josh Vela hoping for debuts.
