While Graham Kavanagh has been active on transfer deadline day, so has the former Carlisle United manager’s son.
On the same day Kavanagh senior oversaw Owen Moxon’s departure from Carlisle United as his agent, the ex-Blues boss’s son Calum has signed for Bradford City.
Kavanagh junior, 20, has made a permanent move away from Middlesbrough in order to join the League Two club.
The young striker has been a prolific scorer for Boro’s development teams and had previous fourth-tier loan spells with Harrogate Town and Newport County.
But now he has joined Bradford permanently after the Bantams paid Boro an undisclosed fee.

Kavanagh junior, speaking on the Bradford website, said of his transfer: "It feels brilliant to be here. It is a huge club with huge ambitions, and this is a new chapter in my career that I am really looking forward to.
"I met the manager and we had a conversation, and as soon as we had spoken I knew this was the place for me. This is what I need at this stage of my career, and this club gives me a platform to progress as a player and hopefully achieve promotion.
"I am looking forward to getting on the grass and showing what I am about, doing really well in this league and for this club. I cannot wait to meet the fans and pull the jersey on."
Bantams boss Graham Alexander added: "Calum is a player who will bring pace and energy to our forward line, and obviously a goal threat.
"We feel he is at the stage now where he wants his career to kick-off. He is hungry to be successful, and I believe he will get the chance, here."
Kavanagh junior’s move came soon after his father oversaw the completion of Moxon’s move from Carlisle to Portsmouth.
The 50-year-old ex-Blues boss has been the Denton Holme midfielder’s representative for several months, and travelled to Portsmouth with Moxon yesterday to finalise the deal.
Kavanagh was in charge at Brunton Park from 2013 to 2014 after spells as player-coach and assistant manager. He was in charge when United were relegated from League One in 2014 before being sacked early into the following campaign.
Kavanagh junior's new Bradford team-mates will include former Carlisle duo Alex Gilliead and Andy Cook as well as Jake Young, the player who had been the subject of United interest in January.
