Owen Moxon enjoyed a winning start to life as a Portsmouth player.
The former Carlisle United midfielder was a substitute in his first taste of Pompey action.
Moxon, who joined the League One leaders on deadline day, had to wait until the closing stages of their game against Northampton Town to make his bow.
The 26-year-old came off the bench to replace Tom Lowery in the 84th minute at Fratton Park.

He was able to enjoy the closing stages of an emphatic win as Portsmouth sealed a 4-1 victory.
Moxon watched new team-mates Connor Ogilvie, Paddy Lane (two) and Callum Lang put John Mousinho's side in command before the Carlisle-born midfielder came on.
Portsmouth had Tom McIntyre sent off early in the second half while Marc Leonard scored late on for the Cobblers, but Moxon and his new colleagues enjoyed a comfortable three points to go four points clear at the top.
Next up for the former Blues favourite is a reunion with Carlisle at Brunton Park next weekend.
Joe Garner, meanwhile, went straight into the Oldham Athletic side after his move from the Blues.

The veteran striker was handed an immediate debut by boss Micky Mellon for the Latics' National League trip to Ebbsfleet United.
But Garner, who played the full game, was unable to inspire his new club to victory as Oldham had to settle for a 0-0 draw which sent them down two places to eighth.
Ryan Edmondson made his debut for Central Coast Mariners and got off to a winning start.
