Carlisle United's game at Burton Albion has been postponed.
The pitch at the Pirelli Stadium failed an inspection after heavy rain and the match was called off at 6.40pm.
Match officials, including referee Craig Hicks, took a series of looks at the surface amid a persistent downpour ahead of the game.
They were then joined by the two teams' managers for a further look at areas of the pitch which were causing concern.
After long conversations and the rolling and bouncing of the ball in different parts of the pitch, it was finally confirmed that the game was off.
